Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at SSM Health Aesthetic Center. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare team.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with treatments ordered by providers, performing select clinical duties under their supervision.
- Interview patients, measure vital signs, and record information on patients' charts.
- Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations and maintain a clean and organized environment.
- Perform basic clerical duties, including answering phones, maintaining records, and scheduling patients.
- Assist with ordering and stocking supplies, and perform basic materials management functions.
- Document provider encounters with patients, listing diagnoses, symptoms, and follow-up instructions.
- Transcribe patient orders, including laboratory tests, radiology tests, and medications.
Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent, or 10 years of work experience.
- Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (BLS HCP) certification from the American Heart Association.
- One of the following certifications: Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA), Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Clinical Medical Assistant Certification (CMAC), Medical Assistant (RMA), Medical Assistant Certification (MAC), National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA), Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) from the American Registry of Medical Assistants.
