Position SummaryThe Project Construction Supervisor (PCS) plays a crucial role in overseeing multiple home construction initiatives across the country. The PCS facilitates various home building projects through local contractors by effectively managing contracts, tracking project timelines, coordinating the delivery of essential materials, conducting inspections, and ensuring project completion. The PCS collaborates closely with various departments to address and communicate any issues, timelines, and delivery schedules. This position reports directly to the Construction Operations Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Conducts a thorough review of construction documents before issuing requests for proposals.
- Evaluates contractor proposals for completeness and cost-effectiveness.
- Facilitates pre-construction meetings with selected contractors.
- Acts as the primary liaison between our organization and contractors during the construction phase.
- Manages multiple construction contracts and schedules effectively.
- Reviews change order proposals, formulates estimates, and negotiates final amounts and project timelines.
- Coordinates efforts between national partners and contractors throughout the building process.
- Ensures construction adheres to established plans and specifications, maintaining quality assurance and control.
- Conducts final inspections of completed homes, creates punch lists, reviews as-built plans, and approves final payments.
- Addresses and resolves project-specific issues and concerns.
- Maintains accurate reporting, invoicing, and record-keeping practices.
- Reviews and approves contractor project schedules, ensuring timely completion without exceeding budgets.
- Conducts post-project reviews to identify best practices and areas for improvement.
- Performs additional duties as necessary.

- Bachelor's degree in construction management or a related field, with a minimum of four years of relevant experience.
- Proficient in construction methodologies, blueprint reading, and technical aspects of construction.
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to maintain detailed and accurate construction records.
- Capable of managing multiple priorities with a positive and adaptable attitude.
- Self-motivated and a creative problem solver.
- Experience with construction contract administration is advantageous.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Able to work under pressure and coordinate various activities and teams effectively.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and various database applications; CADD skills are a plus.
- Willingness to travel nationwide for project inspections.
- Work is typically performed in an office environment, with site visits to monitor construction progress.
- Regular travel may be required to various construction sites for quality assurance and builder engagement.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Salary is commensurate with experience.
