Job Summary

Maintains and repairs building systems, equipment, and hardware for Dallas County facilities. Works under limited supervision to ensure efficient and safe operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintains building HVAC and automation systems, including air conditioning, heating, plumbing, and electrical systems.
  • Assists plumbers, electricians, and other personnel as needed.
  • Prepares and maintains logs and records of equipment operations, system repairs, and maintenance activities.
  • Conducts regular inspections and tests of boilers, cooling towers, and other equipment.
  • Reviews and implements preventive maintenance checklists and schedules.
  • May act as a lead person on assignments and performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • One year of work-related experience in facilities maintenance or a related field.
  • Valid Texas driver's license and good driving record.
  • Ability to climb ladders, lift weights over 50 pounds, and work in varying conditions.
  • Must pass a security clearance check.
