We are currently seeking a skilled Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) Analyst to collaborate with the Specialized Technical and Administrative Support Services within the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Intelligence (OUSD (I&S)). This role is integral to a dynamic team focused on fostering a collaborative environment while providing significant opportunities for professional growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Demonstrate a foundational understanding of the Freedom of Information Act as outlined in the United States Code: 5 USC §552.
  • Meet stringent deadlines and manage multiple priorities effectively, ensuring successful project completion.
  • Prepare Information and Action Packages for Senior Leadership review, including recommendations regarding FOIA requests and applicable exemptions.
  • Assess the potential impact of releasing government information on national security in accordance with 5 USC §552.
  • Establish and maintain positive working relationships with national security professionals.
  • Review and process all FOIA requests related to OUSD(I&S), ensuring thorough and timely responses.
  • Exhibit exceptional communication and collaboration skills to coordinate responses with stakeholders across the federal government.
Qualifications:
  • Possession or eligibility to obtain a TOP SECRET/SCI clearance.
  • Willingness to undergo drug testing.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience managing FOIA requests for a U.S. government agency.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, or seven (7) years of related experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Proficiency in handling large datasets and advanced tools such as Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
