Polysomnographic Technologist Job Description

Gundersen Health System is seeking a skilled Polysomnographic Technologist to join our dedicated team in La Crosse, WI.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform comprehensive polysomnographic testing and analysis, including overnight polysomnograms on patients as ordered by a physician.
  • Work with inpatients and outpatients/family members to ensure accurate and efficient polysomnographic evaluation.
  • Operate medical equipment to record wake/sleep physiology and provide patient education and support during testing procedures.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary healthcare team to facilitate services, provide consultation/education, and generate/print accurate reports for the physician.
  • Stay up-to-date with knowledge and skills related to pattern recognition, sleep/wake stages, respiratory and ECG events, and electrical safety.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an Electroneurodiagnostic or Polysomnographic or Respiratory Therapy program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs.
  • Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) within 30 months of hire date.
