Key Responsibilities:

  • Score polysomnography and sleep tests.
  • Assist in the coordination, scheduling, and dispensing of home sleep apnea tests.
  • Work with Medical Director and management staff to provide evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders.
  • Coordinate departmental technical/clinical responsibilities.
  • Perform Polysomnographic/Sleep Studies according to established protocols.
  • Communicate with team members to ensure efficient workflow.
  • Effectively communicate with personnel and physicians.

Qualifications:

  • OPTION 1: Polysomnographic Tech Credentialed by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists as a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) AND Licensed by the California Medical Board as a Polysomnographic Technologist (CA-BRPT) AND Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an American Heart Associated recognized provider.
  • OPTION 2: Respiratory Therapist Credentialed by the National Board of Respiratory Care as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) AND Licensed by the Respiratory Care Board of California as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) AND Obtain Sleep Disorders Specialty within 12 months of hire date (RRT-SDS) AND Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an American Heart Associated recognized provider.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least 1 year of experience performing and scoring polysomnograms.
  • Experience with initializing and downloading home sleep apnea tests.
