Source Planner II

We are seeking a highly skilled Source Planner II to join our team at ExpressPoint. As a key member of our supply chain team, you will be responsible for reviewing, analyzing, and executing purchase orders based on system requirements, while managing inventory to prevent excess material.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze and manage assigned inventory without excess expenditure and balance requirements with company objectives.
- Responsible for analyzing and comprehending current ERP/MRP reporting tools.
- Identify strategic methods and work closely with current suppliers to obtain cost savings and negotiate best possible terms.
- Ability to problem solve, reconcile, and identify root causes to interruptions in production schedule due to lack of components required for repairs.
- Work with outsource repair suppliers reconciling inventory discrepancies.
- Demonstrate, train, and mentor as needed within the supply chain.
- Understand standard cost and assist in reviewing purchase price variance to help reduce overall variances.
- Interface with Program Management, Planning, and Production teams to effectively communicate any gaps in demand, impacts to production schedules, or discrepancies as needed.
- Ensure timely, tactful, and respectful communication with all internal and external customers.
- Follow all policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, or related field experience.
- Experience: 2-3 years procurement experience.
- Proficient Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel experience: vlookup and pivot table knowledge required.
- Experience working with overseas suppliers.
- Knowledge in working with ERP and MRP systems. Previous experience with Oracle Fusion is a plus.
