Role Summary
The Nursing Supervisor will report directly to the Director of Nursing and will be responsible for overseeing the clinical operations of the nursing units during the assigned shift. This role includes ensuring adherence to company policies, regulatory standards, and best practices in nursing care.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Direct and manage the nursing staff to ensure compliance with established protocols and procedures.
2. Support the implementation of effective care delivery models and operational processes.
3. Collaborate with the Director of Nursing to ensure adequate staffing levels for safe, continuous nursing care, while minimizing reliance on overtime and external staffing agencies.
4. Engage in recruitment efforts, facilitate new employee orientation, mentor nursing staff, and provide recommendations regarding promotions, transfers, and terminations.
Qualifications:
Applicants must possess a degree from an accredited nursing program and hold a current registered nurse license issued by the State Board of Nursing. A minimum of three years of full-time clinical experience is required, with at least two years in long-term care nursing and one year in a supervisory or management role preferred.
A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred. Candidates must also maintain current BLS/CPR certification and an active RN license.
