The Cashier and Runner at Brickstones plays a vital role in delivering outstanding customer service, ensuring that guests have a seamless and enjoyable dining experience.

This full-time, entry-level role is situated within the hospitality sector, specifically at Embassy Suites by Hilton Knoxville Downtown. The Cashier and Runner will collaborate closely with both front-of-house and kitchen teams to maintain exceptional service standards.

The hourly wage for this position is set at $13, with biweekly payment. Additionally, the successful candidate will be eligible for the benefits package provided by Embassy Suites by Hilton Knoxville Downtown.

• Welcome guests warmly and professionally, sharing information about specials or promotions as necessary.
• Efficiently process guest dining orders using a Point of Sale (POS) system.
• Manage cash and credit transactions, ensuring accurate payment processing and change handling.
• Keep the cashier area clean and organized, including cash drawers and merchandise displays.
• Prepare and serve food and beverages as required, including specialty coffee and ice cream.
• Assist with bussing tables and resetting for new guests.
• Communicate effectively with both front-of-house and kitchen staff to guarantee timely service.
• Follow all health and safety regulations and guidelines.
• Participate in mandatory training sessions and staff meetings.
• Carry out additional tasks as assigned by management.

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Previous experience in cash handling and customer service is preferred.
• Familiarity with POS systems and basic math skills for cash management.
• Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Must be capable of standing, walking, and lifting up to 30 lbs for extended periods.
