Senior Construction Inspector

At RK&K, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Construction Inspector to join our Construction Engineering Inspection (CEI) and Construction Management Division. As a Senior Construction Inspector, you will play a key role in strengthening our construction engineering and inspection business while leading complex and routine inspections on projects including highway, bridge, design/design-build projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide construction management support, including inspection and monitoring of construction structures to ensure compliance with safety regulations
  • Engage in solving complex problems to provide technical evaluation and sound solutions
  • Monitor the activities of other Inspectors
  • Communicate effectively across different platforms with project management, clients, stakeholders, and contractors
  • Interface with clients, state and federal agencies, and other engineering disciplines on construction projects
  • Recordkeeping and reporting as required

Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent plus four (4) years of experience in construction inspection, two (2) years of which shall have been in roadway construction inspection
  • Must have the following certifications: CTQP Concrete Field Inspector, CTQP Asphalt Roadway, CTQP Earthwork Construction Inspection, CTQP Drilled Shaft, FDOT Intermediate MOT

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous roadway asphalt inspection experience
  • Critical Structures Construction Issues certification
  • FDOT Self Study Computer Based Training (e.g. MSE Wall Inspector)
