Job Summary:

The Radiology Tech Assistant plays a vital role in supporting the Radiology team with exceptional communication skills, basic computer proficiency, and a strong work ethic. This position requires a high level of organization, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Organize and maintain a clean and safe working environment, including stocking linen and supplies.
  • Transport patients to and from Radiology, using two patient identifiers to ensure accurate identification.
  • Operate stretchers, patient beds, and wheelchairs safely and efficiently.
  • Review daily department schedules to optimize workflow and collaboration with the Radiologic team.
  • Maintain office and medical supplies, ordering replacements as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support department operations.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • BLS Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association (required upon hire).
  • 1 year of patient care experience preferred.
  • Experience with Radiology Information Systems and Electronic Health Records (EHR) a plus.
