Radiology Technician, Ambulatory Surgery Center, OR
The OR Radiologic Technologist performs radiographic imaging in the operating room during intra-operative procedures. This role requires operating x-ray equipment (C-Arm) and having knowledge of imaging equipment connectivity with intraoperative PACS and RIS, as well as troubleshooting device connections with imaging equipment.
Collaboration with surgeons and other OR staff is essential to ensure radiology guidance is available and appropriate for specific OR cases. Additionally, the C-Arm equipment must be in acceptable condition, with routine quality control checks conducted to maintain cleanliness.
Education, Certification, Computer, and Training Requirements:
- 1-3 years' experience required, C-Arm specifically
- Graduated from an accredited Radiology program
- Licensed by NJ State DEP
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologies
- BLS certification is required
- Maintain current knowledge of RIS and PACS computer systems
- The ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing, is required
- Advanced computer skills including email, Microsoft applications, and the ability to comprehend and utilize Electronic Medical Record System, RIS, and PACS Systems
