Position Overview:


Serco is seeking Construction Project Management Specialists to assist with the Federal Emergency Management Agency's Public Assistance recovery efforts in the Midwest region.

The role involves collaborating with both professional and non-professional teams to provide essential support to various governmental and non-profit entities.

Serco is committed to delivering timely and effective assistance to FEMA's mission, aiding communities impacted by disasters.

These positions require flexibility for deployment throughout the Midwest region.

This role is subject to the successful acquisition and maintenance of a DHS Clearance.

This position is also dependent on customer specifications and approval.

Key Responsibilities:


Oversee and coordinate the distribution of Public Assistance grant funding while aligning with the recovery priorities of applicants.

Ensure precise and timely delivery of grant funds.

Align with the recovery goals of applicants.

Conduct site evaluations.


Provide exceptional customer service throughout the grant delivery process, from initial contact to the final recovery meeting.

Assist in determining eligibility for special considerations that may impact grant development timelines.

Serve as the primary liaison for applicants during all phases of the delivery process.

Manage the Grant Delivery process for an average of eight (8) applicants concurrently.

The number of applicants may fluctuate between 1 to 15 based on project complexity and claims.

Ensure program delivery is executed in a professional, customer-focused manner that aligns with all recovery priorities.

Qualifications:
To excel in this position, candidates should possess:

A bachelor's degree with 5 years of relevant experience, or 10 years of experience in a related field.

1-2 years of experience in Large Commercial Construction projects.


1-2 years of experience in any of the following areas: Restoration of Infrastructure, Facilities, Utilities, Debris Management, Educational Institutions, Religious Buildings, and Recreational Areas.

Ability to obtain and maintain FEMA Public Trust clearance.

U.S. Citizenship.

Capacity to complete FEMA-specific training.

Proficient in Microsoft Office, with strong written and verbal communication skills.

Willingness to deploy within the Midwest region on short notice after task order award.

Ability to commit to deployments lasting 6–12 months.

Experience and comfort with smartphone technology.

Capability to work independently, collaboratively, and under pressure with tight deadlines.

Preferred Experience and Skills:
Minimum of 2 years of experience with FEMA Public Assistance programs.

Program Delivery Manager (PDMG) experience.

Familiarity with FEMA Public Assistance policies and procedures.

Experience conducting exploratory assessments.

Knowledge of Preliminary Damage Assessments.

Training in the Public Assistance delivery model is preferred.

Active FEMA credentials.
