Position Overview

The Medication Aide plays a crucial role in ensuring the safe administration of medications within the Assisted Living Department. This position is vital for adhering to both Federal and State regulations, as well as the guidelines set forth by The Woodmark at Uptown.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervision of Medication: Oversee the self-administration of medications by residents, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
  • Health Monitoring: Observe and report any changes in residents' health status, providing accurate documentation to the licensed nursing staff.
  • Emergency Response: Act promptly and effectively in emergency situations to ensure resident safety.
  • Confidentiality Maintenance: Uphold the privacy of residents and prospective residents at all times.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of one month experience in a senior care environment.
  • State-specific certification may be required based on location.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
  • Professional demeanor with a positive attitude.
  • Attention to detail is critical for success in this role.
