We are seeking a skilled and physically fit individual to join our team as a Farmworker/Laborer at Diamante AZ Farms, LLC. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with day-to-day farming operations, including harvesting, packaging, weeding, washing, and cooling of row crop vegetables.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with harvesting, packaging, and preparing row crop vegetables for delivery to customers
- Perform weeding, washing, and cooling of row crop vegetables to meet production standards and procedures
- Work with irrigation systems and perform manual labor as needed
- Follow instructions from Field Supervisors and maintain a safe working environment
- Perform repetitive movements, extensive pushing and pulling, extensive walking, frequent stooping, and extensive kneeling as required by the job
- Ability to stand, stoop, bend, kneel, and reach for long periods of time
- Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds
- Ability to work in variable weather conditions, including light rain, high humidity, freezing temperatures, and high heat
- Ability to work in an orchard when trees are wet with dew/rain
Field work begins at assigned time shortly after daylight. Work may be performed during light rain and in high humidity and in freezing or high heat temperatures. The worker may be required to work in the orchard when trees are wet with dew/rain and should have suitable clothing for variable weather conditions.
