Job Summary:

The Executive Chef will be responsible for overseeing the culinary operations at the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center. This includes managing a team of chefs, coordinating menu planning, and ensuring exceptional quality and presentation of dishes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Culinary Operations: Manage kitchen staff, coordinate menu planning, and oversee food preparation and presentation.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and develop a high-performing team of chefs and kitchen staff.
  • Menu Development: Collaborate with the culinary team to create innovative and delicious menus that meet the expectations of our guests.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory levels to minimize waste and ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Food Safety and Quality: Ensure that all food is prepared and presented to the highest standards of safety and quality.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Culinary Arts or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a senior chef role, preferably in a luxury hotel or resort setting.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure and maintain a high level of attention to detail.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.

As an Executive Chef at Marriott International, you can expect a competitive salary of $85,000 to $104,000 per annum, depending on your level of experience and qualifications.
