Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Security Technician II to join our team at TEKsystems. As a Security Technician II, you will be responsible for installing, programming, and testing security equipment, as well as providing training and certifications associated with manufacturer's security systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Installation, programming, and testing of security equipment
  • Training and certifications associated with manufacturer's security systems
  • Diagnosing and troubleshooting enterprise-level Access Control, CCTV, and Burglar systems
  • Installing connectors on multi-conductor cables and performing continuity tests
  • Installing door strikes, magnetic locks, panels, power supplies, and other components of a mechanical nature
  • Ensuring all company safety policies and procedures are followed and enforced
  • Ability to read wiring schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals
Requirements
  • 3-5 years of security or installation related experience
  • Ability to succeed in a fast-paced environment and work independently
  • Must be able to interact and communicate professionally
  • Proven track record of reliability and responsibility
  • High level of integrity
  • Ability to work flexible shifts and adapt to changing work schedules
Working Conditions

The physical environment requires the employee to work both inside and outside in various weather conditions.

Physical Requirements

The employee is required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; talk or hear, utilize personal protective equipment to prevent exposure to potentially hazardous materials, lift (overhead, waist level) from floor, bending, frequently utilize near vision use for reading and computer use; be able to handle semi-frequent stressful conditions (cardiovascular), frequently work in outdoor weather conditions, frequently move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds, occasionally ascend / descend a ladder, operate a motor vehicle, frequently position self to maintain computers or other equipment as needed

Travel Requirements

Must have the ability to travel as needed. Some overnight travel may be expected
