Job Summary

As a Primary Care Physician at Memorial Hermann Health System, you will have the opportunity to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a variety of practice settings. Our employed medical group offers a 100% outpatient clinic with limited call, while our Convenient Care Centers provide NCQA patient-centered medical home with adjacent 24/7 walk-in emergency center. You will also have the option to work in Occupational Medicine Clinics, which offer 100% outpatient clinic with no call, or Independent/Private Practice, which offers 100% outpatient clinic with limited call.

Responsibilities

As a Primary Care Physician, you will be responsible for directing patient care throughout the health care system via Consult Orders. You will provide consultation services in collaboration with attending or primary care provider, communicate with the attending physician, nurse, family, and other treatment team members when appropriate, and effectively communicate with treatment team in a timely and professional manner to provide quality psychiatric care to patients throughout the healthcare system. You will also comply with best practices and other care directives, follow Performance Improvement initiatives, and work with Memorial Hermann Physicians, Risk Managers, and Case Managers towards resolution of clinical, administrative or technical problems.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a graduation from an accredited school of Medicine, current state medical license, current Federal Drug Enforcement Agency license, board certified or Board eligible, and Basic Cardiac Life Certification or Advanced Cardiac Life Certification. You will also need to demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills, exhibit teamwork skills that facilitate interchange between multidisciplinary health care workers in order to provide quality patient care/outcomes, and address issues/concerns with the Memorial Hermann Healthcare System in a timely fashion. Additionally, you will need to demonstrate commitment to the Partners-in-Caring process by integrating our culture in all internal and external customer interactions; deliver on our brand promise of "we advance health" through innovation, accountability, empowerment, collaboration, compassion and results while ensuring one Memorial Hermann.
