The School Staff Nurse is a part-time position responsible for providing school health services to students within a 30-mile radius. The ideal candidate will have experience in a school setting, pediatric nursing, and working within a multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities- Provide school health services as directed by department and contracts.
- Offer clinical care, including routine, special needs, and emergency first aid.
- Maintain accurate student health records and document services rendered.
- Participate in educational efforts and communicate effectively with management, parents/guardians, and allied personnel.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing required.
- BLS certification and Registered Nurse licensure required.
- Minimum one year experience in healthcare, with preference for experience in pediatric nursing and school settings.
- Experience working within a multidisciplinary team.
- Proficiency in MS Office or similar software.
This is a part-time position with an FTE of 0.5. The work environment is onsite, and the status is required.
