Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Process Technician to join our team at Westfall Technik Inc. in Asheboro, NC. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for providing technical support for the injection molding process, installing molds, and optimizing the operation of molding machinery and processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Start up machines and respond to alarms in a timely manner
  • Assist the toolroom in changing cavities, slides, or cores, and analyze tools for improvement
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area, adhering to company safety policies and procedures
  • Ensure machines and robots are running at maximum efficiency
  • Troubleshoot mold problems and report any issues to the Shift Supervisor
  • Complete paperwork accurately and consistently
  • Perform mold changing activities and maintain the appearance of all molds and equipment
Requirements
  • Knowledge of scientific molding principles and strong mechanical aptitude
  • Prior experience with materials, equipment function, processing, and machine operation in injection molding
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with proficiency in reading and interpreting machine documentation
  • Ability to work with maintenance on problems and use state-of-the-art controls on machines and robots/automation
Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent, with one-year certificate from college or technical school, or three to six years related experience and/or training
  • Previous supervisory experience is beneficial
