Our innovative machines are utilized by leading manufacturers globally, reflecting our commitment to precision and excellence.
Position Overview: We are in search of a skilled MIG Welder / Fabricator to contribute to our operations. This role involves the fabrication and welding of components essential for the assembly of shingle production machinery. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in MIG welding and fabrication, along with experience working with various metals, including mild and stainless steel.
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 6AM - 4:30PM (with a minimum of 10 hours of overtime per week)
Compensation: Competitive hourly rate
Core Responsibilities:
- Execute MIG welding on components and assemblies, ensuring welds meet high industry standards, particularly with carbon and stainless steel.
- Fabricate parts and assemblies in accordance with blueprints, schematics, and detailed work instructions.
- Utilize a variety of tools and equipment, including grinders, saws, and presses, to cut, shape, and prepare metal components for welding.
- Conduct inspections of completed welds and fabricated components to verify adherence to quality specifications.
- Collaborate with engineers and team members to ensure components are fabricated and assembled per specifications.
- Maintain a tidy and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols and company policies.
- Perform routine maintenance on welding and fabrication equipment as necessary.
- Identify and resolve any challenges related to welding and fabrication processes.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Welding certification (AWS or equivalent) is advantageous, along with a minimum of 3 years of experience as a MIG Welder / Fabricator, ideally in an OEM or manufacturing setting.
- Proficiency in fabrication processes, including cutting, grinding, and shaping metal components.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, welding diagrams, and work instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and a dedication to producing high-quality work.
- Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Thorough understanding of safety practices and procedures in a manufacturing context.
- Physical capability to lift heavy materials, stand for prolonged periods, and perform repetitive tasks.
