Job Summary:The Registered Nurse will be responsible for planning, directing, and evaluating total nursing care and functions, in accordance with established standards of practice. This includes providing the best possible nursing care by planning, organizing, and directing the nursing functions of patients on the unit.
Key Responsibilities:- Provides nursing care to patients, including administering medications, performing treatments, and documenting patient information.
- Develops and implements individualized patient care plans, taking into account the patient's medical history, physical condition, and personal preferences.
- Collaborates with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care and effective communication.
- Maintains accurate and complete records of patient care, including medication administration, treatments, and test results.
- Participates in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
- Supports and enforces infection-control and antibiotic stewardship policies and procedures.
- Provides education and support to patients and their families, promoting health and wellness.
- Graduate of an accredited program in nursing.
- Current RN license to practice in the state.
- Current CPR certification.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Self-directing and ability to work independently.
- Empathy for the needs of patients.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
