Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at Dodge County. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the overall success of our healthcare team.
Job Summary:The Registered Nurse will be responsible for assessing the condition of residents, monitoring for changes in condition, and responding with appropriate action. You will also communicate resident needs or condition changes to physicians, families, and other staff members. Additionally, you will review resident care plans, complete documentation, and coordinate with other staff members to ensure effective care delivery.
Essential Functions:- Assess resident condition and monitor for changes in condition
- Communicate resident needs or condition changes to physicians, families, and other staff members
- Review resident care plans and complete documentation
- Coordinate with other staff members to ensure effective care delivery
- Perform various treatments, including dressing changes, catheter care, and medication administration
- Document nursing assessment, interventions, and resident responses
- Communicate with physicians and families as needed
- Report significant changes in resident condition to RN Supervisor and/or physician
- Receive and implement physician orders
- Compile information for physician reviews
- Prioritize, organize, and direct care of residents/participants
- Knowledge of principles, standards, practices, and techniques of skilled nursing
- Knowledge of local and state rules, regulations, procedures, and policies pertaining to nursing services
- Ability to assign and supervise the work of professional and non-professional personnel
- Ability to maintain patient medical records and prepare reports
- Knowledge of electronic records systems
- Knowledge of PPE and its proper use for personal safety measures
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of all resident care information
- Ability to work tactfully and cooperatively with residents, families, visitors, and staff
- Ability to verbally communicate with residents, families, and staff
This role requires occasional exertion of up to 75 pounds of force and regular sitting, frequent standing, speaking, or hearing, and occasional walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. Work has standard vision requirements, and vocal communication is required for expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word. Hearing is required to perceive information in moderately loud conditions. Work frequently requires exposure to bloodborne pathogens and may be required to wear specialized personal protective equipment.
