Job Title: Registered Nurse - Endoscopy

Matrix Providers is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse - Endoscopy to join our team of healthcare professionals. As a key member of our endoscopy team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our endoscopy procedures.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform outpatient clinic functions, including telephone consults, lab callbacks, and ordering diagnostic studies.
  • Teach colorectal screening classes to patients and their families.
  • Provide perioperative nursing care for patients undergoing endoscopic procedures with the provisional use of moderate sedation as needed.
  • Manage schedules, coordinate patient care, and facilitate the achievement of optimal outcomes in clinical care, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Ensure compliance with standards of care and practice by all established policies, procedures, and guidelines used in the Medical Treatment Facility (MTF).
  • Perform physical exams and health histories, provide health promotions, counseling, and education, and administer medications, wound care, and other personalized interventions.
  • Direct and supervise the care provided by other healthcare professionals and make patient care assignments based on the scope of practice and skill level of assigned personnel.
  • Recognize adverse signs and symptoms and quickly react in emergencies, communicate and collaborate with a diverse group of people to inform the healthcare team of plans/actions for teaching/education to benefit the patient/family and organization.
  • Make referral appointments and arrange specialty care as appropriate, and perform nursing services as identified in the official Task Order.
Requirements:
  • Degree: Associate's Degree in Nursing.
  • Education: Graduate from a college or university accredited by Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) and the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).
  • Experience: minimum of 2 years experience as a clinical nurse in the medical/surgical or critical care inpatient setting and 1 year of perioperative and/or gastroenterology nursing experience within previous 5 years is required.
  • Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) from American Heart Association or American Red Cross, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and licensure: Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a Registered Nurse.
