Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Anesthesiologist to join our team at MedChi, The Maryland State Medical Society. As a Pain Management Specialist, you will be responsible for providing specialized care in pain management and administering anesthesia to patients during surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluating patients' vital signs, medical histories, allergies, current medication use, and other risk factors
  • Designing treatment plans in collaboration with a medical team
  • Overseeing the administration of anesthesia to patients before procedures
  • Monitoring vital signs of patients during surgery and adjusting anesthetics as needed
  • Maintaining detailed notes on patient treatment, dosing, and vital signs
  • Providing continuing care after surgery to control the level of pain relief and consciousness
  • Communicating continuing care instructions to specialists, nurses, and other medical staff
Requirements
  • United States Citizenship
  • Doctor of Medicine or equivalent degree from an accredited school
  • Current, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States
  • Residency training in an accredited core specialty training program leading to eligibility for board certification
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English
Preferred Experience
  • Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Anesthesia
Work Schedule

Monday - Friday, 7:30am - 4:00pm with rotating weekends and on-call responsibilities
