Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at Massachusetts General Hospital. As an MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for performing magnetic resonance imaging studies using a magnetic resonance device, preparing patients, positioning, setting imaging parameters, and displaying images.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform MRI studies using a magnetic resonance device, including preparing patients, positioning, setting imaging parameters, and displaying images.
  • Prepare patients for MRI studies, including explaining procedures and obtaining informed consent.
  • Position patients correctly for MRI studies, ensuring accurate and safe imaging.
  • Set imaging parameters, including selecting appropriate protocols and adjusting equipment settings.
  • Display images and provide feedback to radiologists and other healthcare professionals.
  • Perform quality assurance scans as required, ensuring equipment is functioning properly.
  • Document patient information, including medical history, allergies, and imaging results.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and safe imaging.
  • Stay up-to-date with new developments in MRI technology and imaging protocols.
Requirements
  • ARRT (MR) certification
  • Completion of a Medical Imaging Program
  • BLS certification
  • Advanced MR certification required within 18 months of hire date
