In this role, you will utilize advanced imaging technology to capture detailed images of the breast, aiding in the diagnosis and treatment of various conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

(90%) Patient Imaging Services

  • Conduct thorough patient screenings prior to imaging to identify any precautions or contraindications, ensuring accuracy with two patient identifiers.
  • Provide clear explanations and prepare patients for breast imaging procedures, ensuring they understand the process and feel comfortable.
  • Perform both routine and advanced breast imaging techniques, delivering high-quality images for physician evaluation while offering support and reassurance to patients throughout the procedure.
  • Adjust imaging parameters as necessary, applying dose reduction techniques to prioritize patient safety.
  • Foster positive relationships with radiologists, referring physicians, and colleagues to enhance collaboration and patient care.
  • Adhere strictly to physician directives and safety protocols to ensure the well-being of patients and staff.
  • Maintain accurate patient records within the Radiology Information System (RIS) to support seamless communication and documentation.
  • Ensure a clean and organized work environment, promoting safety and efficiency for both patients and team members.
  • Uphold ACR accreditation standards and maintain necessary equipment in optimal condition, including routine cleaning and disinfection.
  • Comply with all HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.

(5%) Departmental Support

  • Assist in the upkeep of imaging protocol manuals and facilitate software updates as needed.
  • Monitor inventory levels of medical supplies and initiate requests to ensure adequate stock.
  • Contribute to the training of new team members, sharing expertise and resources to enhance team performance.

(5%) Additional Responsibilities

Complete other tasks as assigned to support the overall efficiency of the department.
