YOUR ROLE IN BOLDT:

As the Head of the IT Project Management Office, you will leverage a unique combination of business acumen, IT expertise, financial insight, and communication skills to shape and facilitate the enterprise, operational, and cultural elements essential for the successful delivery of our IT initiatives. This prominent role will be instrumental in defining and establishing Boldt's Enterprise Agile strategies, collaborating across all organizational levels to drive meaningful and sustainable change. Your leadership will be crucial in executing strategies through teamwork and in managing productivity tools that enhance performance while adapting to the ever-evolving enterprise landscape.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Agile Leadership:
  • Oversee the PMO team, focusing on Enterprise Performance and Lean Governance of the IT portfolio.
  • Champion the PMO's strategic vision among stakeholders and leadership to cultivate a product-oriented culture.
  • Identify and develop PMO roles, team structure, and recruitment strategies to achieve PMO objectives.
  • Lead the IT Agile Practice, establishing systems and processes that promote high-performing teams.
  • Build and maintain the agile-at-scale competency and talent strategy at the enterprise level.
  • Continuously improve the integration of various delivery models to meet business needs.
  • Ensure consistency in Boldt's operating methodology and processes.
  • Engage with the organization for ongoing feedback and to identify emerging needs.
  • Foster a learning culture that encourages adaptation and improvement.
  • Support goal coaches and KPI leaders to align culture and behaviors with organizational values.
  • Collaborate with IT leadership to embed a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Partner with Innovation and Op Ex teams to provide Agile thought leadership and mentorship.
Management and Leadership:
  • Evaluate enterprise performance using metrics to support a value-based operating model.
  • Ensure strategic alignment through effective prioritization and resource management.
  • Optimize the flow of value across the organization.
  • Encourage collaboration among teams, product managers, and stakeholders.
  • Monitor and communicate key organizational metrics.
  • Identify and resolve organizational impediments proactively.
  • Drive relentless improvement within the IT organization.
  • Implement risk management processes to meet technology requirements.
  • Oversee product portfolios to balance agile and non-agile initiatives.
  • Align with cross-departmental roadmaps to manage dependencies effectively.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, business administration, or a related field, with 10+ years of experience in an agile environment; a master's degree is preferred.
  • Ten or more years of experience in IT and business/industry.
  • Five to seven years of experience in agile or product leadership roles.
  • Preferred certifications include Scrum Alliance Certified Agile Leadership (CAL 2), Scaled Agile Framework Certification (SAFe), and others.
  • Proven experience in leading diverse teams and applying systems thinking.
  • Strong focus on understanding the 'why' behind processes.
  • Experience with metric-driven delivery and agile methodologies (Lean, Scrum, Kanban, etc.).
  • Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to inspire and communicate a strategic vision.
  • Demonstrated success in transforming traditional delivery methods to agile frameworks.
  • Ability to balance agility with formal risk management needs.
  • Excellent analytical and strategic planning skills.
  • Deep understanding of current technologies and their application in driving digital business.
  • Strong communication skills, capable of bridging IT and business concepts.
  • Effective facilitation skills in collaborative environments.
  • Ability to support problem identification and decision-making processes.
  • Empathetic leadership that encourages personal development.
WORKING CONDITIONS:

This position requires the employee to remain stationary for extended periods and occasionally move to access workspaces. The role involves frequent use of computers and office equipment. The work environment is typically an office setting, which may include various scents and fragrances. Overtime and weekend work may be required.
