Job Title: Lead Field Engineer

At Carrier, we're seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Field Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our field commissioning team, you will play a crucial role in delivering building automation systems to our customers.

Job Summary:

The Lead Field Engineer will be responsible for the field commissioning of building automation systems, working closely with customers to ensure their systems are operating efficiently and effectively. This role requires a strong technical background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work well in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Initiate, install, troubleshoot, and optimize customer systems utilizing advanced Direct Digital Control technology.
  • Serve as a local contact for technical issues and provide effective solutions for complex system problems.
  • Provide turnkey project delivery on medium to large projects, ensuring that systems operate properly and meet customer requirements.
  • Load software, configure trends, alarms, and reports, and implement time management strategies to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Communicate and document the status and details of the project for the customer, and provide site-specific training to owners/operators on the complete system.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 4+ years of experience in Building Automation, HVAC, or a technical field.
  • Capable of climbing ladders or using other lift equipment over 8 feet above grade and capable of lifting items up to 50lbs.
  • Valid and current Driver's License and can be insurable by the company's insurance.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree, Associate Degree, Technical/Business School Certificate or Diploma in HVAC, Controls, or a related field.
  • Proficient with advanced building automation software, such as WebCTRL, and installing building automation controls.
  • Ability to navigate and integrate into a variety of building automation systems.
  • Expert with TCP/IP networks including wireless technology.
  • Experience interacting with a large and diverse number of simultaneous challenges, requiring knowledge of multiple disciplines.
  • Ability to communicate technical information to a non-technical audience.
  • Excellent communication skills as well as the ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft 365 applications.
