Production Line Technician

At Smith+Nephew, we're committed to designing and manufacturing technology that takes the limits off living. As a Production Line Technician, you'll play a critical role in the aseptic processing of biologic products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Follow batch production records (BPRs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to manufacture biologic products.
  • Operate line equipment, including training production personnel on proper operation and meeting filling and assembly requirements.
  • Perform set-up, sanitization verification, daily start-up, tuning, and repair of packaging and filling machinery.
  • Conduct routine preventive maintenance for all packaging and filling equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Evaluate quality and assist in troubleshooting operational issues.
  • Assist in preparing documentation and identifying areas for improvement in manufacturing efficiencies and compliance.
  • Participate in the 5S program and maintain inventories of supplies within the production area.
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • 5+ years of relevant manufacturing experience on a fill line in a regulated environment.
