Luminis Health is seeking a highly skilled Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant to join our Gastroenterology team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals, and contributing to the development of our GI program.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct Patient Care:
- Provide consultations, interpret results, and develop treatment plans for inpatients and outpatients as requested.
- Assess patients pre-endoscopy, schedule, and plan procedures.
- Care coordinate and collaborate with referral and referring colleagues.
- Indirect Patient Care:
- Educate patients about their condition and treatment options.
- Provide information to patients about diet changes and lifestyle modifications that can improve their health.
- Commit to lifelong learning and participate in department educational and research activities.
- Program Development:
- Contribute to the development and growth of our Gastroenterology program.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to improve patient outcomes.
Requirements:
- Physician Assistant Degree or Nurse Practitioner.
- At least 3 years of clinical experience.
- Licensed as a Physician's Assistant or Nurse Practitioner in the State of Maryland or eligible.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Teaching experience.
- Experience in program development.
- Experience in electronic medical records.
