Long Term Substitute Special Education Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Special Education Paraprofessional to join our team at Southeast Application Consortium. As a Special Education Paraprofessional, you will play a vital role in supporting the educational, personal, physical, and behavioral needs of our students.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the classroom teacher in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and providing support to students with special needs.
- Provide one-on-one and small group instruction to students, adapting your teaching methods to meet the unique needs of each student.
- Collaborate with the classroom teacher and other support staff to develop and implement strategies to support student learning and behavior.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of student progress and behavior.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff to ensure a positive and supportive learning environment.
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend instructions, short correspondences, and memos.
- Physical ability to lift and/or assist individuals who weigh up to 50 pounds.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Experience working with students with special needs.
- Knowledge of special education laws and regulations.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
