Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate QMHA (Qualified Mental Health Associate) to join our team at the 72nd Ave Recovery Center. As a QMHA, you will play a vital role in providing direct care to our members, promoting their physical and psychological well-being, and supporting their recovery journey.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide safe and effective implementation of direct care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and standards of care.
  • Comply with Medicaid standards in the provision of care, including following a treatment plan to provide skills training, activity therapies, and psychiatric support.
  • Document interventions according to program and Medicaid standards at intervals established by program leadership.
  • Provide crisis intervention and support to members in need.
  • Participate in treatment team meetings and contribute to the development of individualized service plans.
  • Establish and maintain therapeutic relationships with members, promoting hope, positivity, and problem-solving skills.
  • Facilitate groups and activities within the scope of practice, promoting socialization and skill-building.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or G.E.D. and three years of experience in a psychiatric mental health setting, or BA/BS with one year of experience in a mental health setting.
  • Credentialing as a QMHA in the state of Oregon.
  • Completion of approved training and passing of competency test within 30 days of hire.
  • CPR, Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI), and First Aid certification.
