As a Laundry and Uniform Specialist in the Army National Guard, you will play a vital role in ensuring the cleanliness and integrity of Soldiers' uniforms and personal items. Your expertise will be essential in maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and appearance, both in the field and at home base.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain mobile laundry systems, shower units, and associated equipment
  • Receive, process, and distribute bulk, individual, or organizational laundry
  • Repair and alter uniforms, zippers, and other fabric items
  • Operate and maintain sewing, darning, and button machines

Through your training, you will develop the skills and experience to excel in a variety of civilian careers, including supervising or managing a commercial laundry, working as an equipment manager for a sports team, or pursuing a career as a tailor.

Earn While You Learn

In the Army National Guard, you will learn these valuable job skills while earning a regular paycheck and qualifying for tuition assistance. Your training will consist of 10 weeks of Basic Training, where you'll learn basic Soldiering skills, and eight weeks of Advanced Individual Training, which will focus on the specific skills required for this role.
