About the Job
Xlysi LLC is seeking a talented Data Scientist with Bioinformatics Expertise to join our team in Princeton, NJ. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects, develop novel data processing frameworks, and collaborate with experts in the field.

Responsibilities
Design and implement data processing frameworks and tools using machine learning algorithms and big data analytics;
Develop and maintain predictive models to support our research initiatives;
Analyze large datasets to identify trends and insights;
Communicate complex results to both technical and non-technical stakeholders;
Pursue opportunities for continuous learning and skill development.

Requirements
To be successful in this position, you will need:
  • a Bachelor's or Master's degree in bioinformatics, computational biology, computer science, data science, or a related field;
  • 5-8 years of experience in bioinformatics, data engineering, or related roles;
  • expertise in programming languages such as Python, R, or Java;
  • experience with data processing frameworks and tools (e.g., Apache Spark, Hadoop);
  • strong knowledge of bioinformatics databases, tools, and resources (e.g., NCBI, Ensembl, UCSC Genome Browser);
  • experience with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS);
  • familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative development workflows;
  • excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment;
  • strong communication skills and the ability to present complex data findings to a non-technical audience.
