Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and build AbInitio data graphs and pipelines to extract data from various databases, flat files, and message queues.
  • Develop and implement ETL designs and workflows using Ab Initio.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data from multiple sources and deliver insights to stakeholders.
  • Work with Hadoop platforms, preferably Cloudera, to design and implement data integration projects.
  • Develop and maintain high-quality code components, following engineering best practices and automated testing.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior developers and contribute to the growth of the team.
Requirements:
  • 10+ years of IT experience in data integration and data warehouse areas.
  • 5+ years of ETL design and development experience using Ab Initio.
  • 1-2 years of experience with Hadoop platforms, preferably Cloudera.
  • AbInitio CDC experience in a data integration/ETL project setting is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of HDFS, Hive, Impala, and other related Hadoop technologies.
  • Working knowledge of AWS services is a plus.
  • Sound understanding of SQL and ability to write well-performing SQL queries.
  • Good knowledge of OLTP and OLAP data models and other data warehouse fundamentals.
  • Rigor in high code quality, automated testing, and other engineering best practices.
  • Ability to unit test code thoroughly and troubleshoot issues in production environments.
  • Working experience with Unix/Linux shell scripting.
  • Ability to work independently and support junior developers as needed.
  • Some Java development experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Agile Development practices is required.
