Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Assembly Technician to join our team at Custom Pipe & Fabrication. As an Assembly Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient production of high-quality parts and products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in machine shop activities, including assembling, bundling, and unbundling, processing incoming stock and materials, and picking and filling orders from stock.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks to support production, including loading and unloading raw materials safely and properly.
  • Conduct inspections to ensure 100% quality of finished parts, utilizing measurement tools as needed.
  • Request assistance from the maintenance services group when necessary.
  • Have the ability and aptitude to make minor mechanical adjustments as needed.
  • Learn and know Custom Pipe policies and procedures, conducting oneself in a positive and professional manner.
  • Be willing to cross-train in other Operator capacities within the organization.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED required; adequate work experience may be substituted in lieu of diploma or GED.
  • Good manual dexterity, squatting is required, vision, hearing, eye-hand coordination, and physical capability to perform heavy work.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work overtime as needed.
Preferred Skills
  • Knowledge of how to use a tape measure.
  • Experience operating warehouse equipment, such as forklifts, electric lifts, hand trucks, and pallet jacks.
  • Dependability, hard work, and effective communication skills.
