Position Overview:

$120K – $130K/yr + Bonus

Work Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 4 PM

Role Responsibilities:
As a Lead Nuclear Risk Engineer, you will collaborate with a team of specialists dedicated to identifying and mitigating nuclear insurance risks. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Conducting on-site and virtual assessments of nuclear liability insurance risks.
  • Generating detailed engineering reports based on inspection findings.
  • Maintaining professional relationships with assigned accounts.
  • Serving as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in at least one technical domain.
  • Engaging in continuous professional development.
  • Providing analytical updates to internal stakeholders.
  • Participating in the Emergency Response program.
  • Executing project work as directed by the department Vice President.
  • Managing costs effectively for the organization.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in power plant operations, ideally in a leadership capacity.
  • A solid understanding of nuclear energy as it pertains to power generation.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field, such as Engineering, Health Physics, Materials Science, Physics, Chemistry, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
  • For candidates from the Navy's nuclear field, qualifications in PPWS/EWS and/or a completed bachelor's degree in a relevant area are preferred.

Successful candidates will be analytical thinkers with a passion for tackling diverse technical challenges. Engineers play a crucial role in aligning the business and financial objectives of the organization with the expert capabilities of policyholders. As the company's representative in the field, engineers are expected to maintain professionalism and exhibit clear, confident communication.
