Job OverviewWe are seeking a talented Mechanical Engineer to join our Food Engineering Group in Burr Ridge, IL. In this role, you will assist with the design, specification, and installation of our standard product line of food freezing equipment. You will work closely with our Business Development Managers to develop offerings that meet the unique needs and expectations of our customers.
Key Responsibilities- Work with our Food Freezer production team to understand key equipment requirements and troubleshoot customer operational issues.
- Gain an understanding of our standard product line equipment and their capabilities.
- Collaborate with team members to resolve technical and quality issues.
- Participate in multi-functional teams to establish solutions.
- Meet with customers to discuss program growth opportunities or changes.
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical or chemical engineering or a related technical discipline.
- Demonstrated organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated 3-dimensional modeling of mechanical systems and an understanding of how to convert 3-dimensional models into 2-dimensional engineering drawings.
- Willingness to work at the food or industrial production facility.
- An understanding of control system design and experience with Allen Bradley RS Logix 500 and PanelView Plus graphic terminals.
