Job Description

Job Title: Corporate Legal Counsel

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Corporate Legal Counsel to join our team at Novelis North America HQ. As a key member of our legal team, you will be responsible for providing strategic and practical legal advice to support our business operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide legal advice and guidance to our business teams on commercial transactions, contracts, and agreements.
  • Manage and negotiate complex commercial contracts with suppliers and customers.
  • Develop and implement risk management strategies to minimize legal risks and liabilities.
  • Collaborate with our business leaders to identify and address legal issues and opportunities.
  • Support the development and implementation of company policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor degree from an accredited U.S. law school.
  • Minimum 6 years of experience as in-house counsel or with a law firm.
  • Excellent contract negotiation and drafting skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and lead projects.
