Senior Litigation Attorney I

A Senior Litigation Attorney I at Gravis Law, PLLC is a high-level attorney with 5+ years of law practice experience. This attorney is self-directed and thrives with lots of support and autonomy. They generally receive a substantial portion (approximately 70%) of their work through Gravis Law's lead generation and marketing and/or other attorneys in the office. A high-level Senior Litigation Attorney I is expected to generate a portion (30%) of their own billable work. They are expected to be able to present at one event and at one organization leadership event. Attorneys have access to coaching and support services for Attorney development and networking.
Key Responsibilities:
- Successful record of mediation experience
- Significant and successful trial experience
- Researching and analyzing the law on complex legal issues
- Writing memorandums, briefs, letters, and other documents
- Marketing your and the firm's services to prospective clients
- Performing discovery of electronically stored data and hard copies of information in preparation for litigation
- Performing due diligence in all matters
- Strong communication and advocacy skills, including competence in empathetic listening
- Managing a schedule to allow for consults and closure of consults to sufficient reach production/collection objectives
- Closing consults within Gravis range of 30-50% depending on practice area
- Ensuring timely approval of invoices is critical to the health of the business on a month-to-month basis
- Ensuring support staff are fully utilized and productive
- Accurately and completely updating CC with fees, engagement, trust, client information, invoices etc. as required
- Sharing work tasks with other attorney and support staff to ensure we are meeting our objective to serve our communities
- Actively engaging in brand (personal and firm) expansion through blogs social media posts, board, and organization participation, etc.
- Actively seeking positive comments from successful client engagements and positive star reviews
Requirements:
- Excellent writing and interpersonal skills
- Excellent legal research skills
- Juris Doctor degree from an American Bar Association accredited law school
- Admission (or eligibility for reciprocal admission) to the bar in the state in which you intend to practice
- 5+ years of experience as an attorney
Compensation and Benefits:
Gravis Law, PLLC offers a competitive salary including bonuses, along with generous benefits. The potential total compensation is $120,000 - $130,000 per year with base and bonus. The Attorney Bonus Program will be provided to the Attorney for review and signature.
