Progressive Die Journeyman Toolmaker

We are seeking a skilled Journeyman Toolmaker to join our team at Trans-Matic Mfg Inc. as a Progressive Die Journeyman Toolmaker. This role will involve running and maintaining our progressive dies, including designing or building new dies or major redesigns on existing ones.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain existing progressive dies, including sharpening tools, replacing tooling components, ordering spare tooling, and maintaining established tooling standards.
- Setup dies for production runs, ensuring they meet standards, and maintaining setup documentation.
- Operate production presses as needed, including change coils, ensuring product quality, and handling parts.
- Maintain organization of dies, materials, and the press area.
- Lead and document continuous improvement activities on tools in your area of responsibility.
- Develop new tooling progressive dies as needed, working closely with sales, product launch, quality engineer, and customers.
- Work with outside tool sources to ensure robust tool development.
- Fabricate new tooling progressive dies as needed.
- A high school diploma or equivalent experience.
- Journeyman's card in Tool & Die.
- Background in a metalforming industry.
- Ability to read blueprints.
- Mechanical, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Regarded as creative, a self-starter, and adaptable to changes.
- Knowledge and experience using statistical problem-solving methods.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
