Key Responsibilities
  • Production Line Oversight: Supervise production line activity within the assigned department, including safety and quality protocols.
  • Safety and Quality: Ensure compliance with safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with supervisors, line workers, and other personnel to identify and eliminate roadblocks.
  • Training and Development: Train new employees and coach existing employees to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties.
  • Incident Reporting: Report all incidents, including spills, accidents, and maintenance/equipment issues, to supervisors.
  • Compliance: Comply with health and safety guidelines and rules, and ensure compliance across teams.
  • Confidentiality: Protect Chamberlain Group's and Systems' reputation by keeping information confidential.
  • Professional Development: Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reading professional publications, and participating in professional societies.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Experience: 1+ years of experience within Systems' manufacturing environment and demonstrated proficiency within the department.
  • Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents, including safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals; ability to work within ERP systems; strong product knowledge for assigned department; intimate operating knowledge of all available processing equipment and processes for assigned department.
  • Qualifications: Good verbal and written communication skills; 2+ years of relevant experience, including MIG and robotic welding preferred; prior experience with solid core wires and argon/oxygen welding gasses preferred.
