Project Superintendent Job Description

Lemoine, a Great Place to Work-Certified company, is seeking an experienced Project Superintendent to manage and control assigned projects in the Leesville, LA area.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Ensure safe work practices are reviewed in all pre-installation meetings, with a focus on site-specific safety plans.
  • Lead weekly on-site safety meetings to align team members and monitor high-risk areas.
  • Implement QA/QC procedures for non-conforming work, ensuring follow-through on documentation, communication, and correction of any non-conforming work.
  • Oversee the construction of projects with annual revenues between $15 million and $40 million.
  • Regularly monitor project cost summary reports for conformance with final budget estimates, investigating causes of major variances and recommending solutions or recovery plans.
  • Develop preliminary schedules, milestones, and critical material deliveries based on the phased sequencing plan.
  • Provide guidance and leadership to assistant superintendents, LEAP, craft personnel, and field staff assigned to the project.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in construction management, engineering, or a related curriculum, or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of professional experience in a field supervisory role for a commercial general contractor or subcontractor.
  • Strong working knowledge of project planning and scheduling for construction trades.
  • Detailed knowledge of commercial construction practices.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and scheduling software programs.
  • Proven skills in math, teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong reasoning and comprehension skills.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must be able to occasionally lift and/or move 50 pounds.
