Job Overview

In the role of Facilities Maintenance Supervisor, you will lead the maintenance department within our manufacturing facility, ensuring the effective coordination of maintenance and installation of machinery, tools, and equipment. You will spearhead lean initiatives within the department, guiding your team to align with the company's strategic objectives. Monitoring the maintenance budget will be crucial, as will your commitment to fostering a culture of safety throughout the plant. You will collaborate with other leaders to achieve plant-wide goals and report directly to the Plant Manager, requiring a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of plant maintenance, including facilities and utilities, to minimize downtime and optimize efficiency.
  • Champion safety initiatives across the organization.
  • Utilize maintenance metrics to enhance visibility and alignment within the team.
  • Manage the established maintenance budget and track departmental spending.
  • Assist in the planning and budgeting for both annual and long-term capital projects.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal environmental regulations, overseeing all operational permits.
  • Direct maintenance operations, including repairs and renovations of facilities.
  • Set standards for evaluating the quality of work performed by staff and contractors.
  • Supervise the completion of maintenance tasks through regular site inspections and discussions with operations and vendors regarding various systems.
  • Assess the condition of facilities and equipment, recommending improvements as necessary.

Your Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical discipline.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a supervisory or management role within maintenance.
  • Proficient in software applications such as CAD, SAP (or similar), Word, PowerPoint, and MS Project Management.
  • Comprehensive understanding of PLC and logic controls for high-speed equipment.
  • Experience with Preventative Maintenance and Continuous Improvement programs.
  • Background in Sigma and Lean Manufacturing environments as a leader.
  • Extensive knowledge of project management and facilities administration.
  • Familiarity with construction processes, trade practices, and building codes.
  • Strong administrative skills and attention to detail to ensure successful maintenance operations.
