Emergency Medical Technician

Sinai Residences is in search of dedicated Emergency Medical Responders (EMR) to provide essential care during emergency situations. This role requires a commitment to making a positive impact in the lives of residents while advancing your professional skills.

As an EMR at Sinai Residences, your primary duty will be to respond to emergency calls and deliver prompt medical assistance to residents in need.
Key Responsibilities:
Emergency Response:
- Utilize available equipment to provide emergency medical care based on your assessments. This may include:
- Maintaining an open airway
- Administering ventilation
- Performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)
- Providing oxygen therapy
- Managing trauma cases, including:
- Controlling bleeding
- Applying dressings to wounds
- Stabilizing injured limbs
- Communicating assessment findings to on-call medical personnel.
- Continuously monitoring residents and providing care while awaiting further emergency services.
- Documenting observations and care provided for the responding EMS team.
- Evaluating injuries and delivering care until EMS arrives.
- Coordinating with other EMRs or security for additional support as needed.
- Conducting basic triage when required.
- Filling out an Event Report
- Restocking medical supplies
- Cleaning and disinfecting equipment according to safety protocols
- Ensuring all equipment is functional and ready for future responses
Additional Duties:
- Conduct security checks to ensure all access points are secure.
- Participate in Fire Life Safety inspections.
- Assist in emergency evacuation drills and training sessions.
- Answer inquiries at the Concierge desk with professionalism.
Qualifications:
- Ability to remain composed in high-pressure situations.
- Knowledge of stress management techniques to maintain personal well-being.
- Understanding of body substance isolation principles.
- Familiarity with medical-legal principles relevant to the EMR role.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse individuals.
- Commitment to maintaining a professional work environment.
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:
This position involves frequent standing, bending, stretching, and other physical activities. Candidates must be capable of performing these tasks effectively.
