Adjunct Faculty

We are seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Instructor to teach programming courses in our Information Technology and Networking department. The successful candidate will have a strong background in programming languages, including Python, Java, and SQL, and be able to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to students.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, organize, and instruct courses in programming and database management, utilizing effective instructional strategies and technology to promote student success.
- Demonstrate sound practices in instruction and classroom management that respond to students' diverse academic needs.
- Follow the prescribed course outline and use texts selected by the department, as well as other supplemental materials deemed appropriate.
- Provide instruction according to the class meeting schedule and instructional hours established for the session, and notify the department chairperson of any necessary cancellations.
- Assist students toward the successful completion of course(s) by providing outreach, guidance, and timely feedback.
- Maintain adequate and timely student records, including grades posted in the learning management system.
- Evaluate and report students' progress and attendance in a timely manner.
- Encourage students to complete course evaluations and develop a plan for improvement, as needed.
- Attend and participate in various college meetings for the purpose of orientation, professional development, or other departmental or operational activities.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- Four (4) years of relevant experience.
This is a part-time, temporary position. The successful candidate will be expected to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and be able to adapt to changing circumstances.
