As a Pulmonary Care Specialist at Trinity Health, you will conduct patient assessments, evaluate therapy needs, administer treatments, collaborate with healthcare professionals, perform diagnostic tests, and manage equipment while monitoring patient conditions across various age groups.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer inhaled medication therapies, perform arterial punctures, conduct blood gas analyses, execute pulmonary function tests, and provide oxygen therapy among other treatments.
- Engage in cardiopulmonary resuscitation, assist with intubation, and manage artificial airways.
- Assemble, operate, and troubleshoot respiratory care devices including pulse oximeters, aerosol generators, and medical gas delivery systems.
- Interpret diagnostic results and report findings, including blood gas analysis and pulmonary function screenings.
- Maintain accurate records, manage billing, and document medical records.
- Educate patients on the use of respiratory care devices and procedures.
- Currently enrolled in an accredited Respiratory Care program with at least one year completed.
- Successful completion of departmental orientation.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers, to be obtained within three months of hire.
- Proof of completion of Mandatory Reporter abuse training relevant to the population served within three months of hire.
