As the Engineering Lead for the SCITES program, you will be responsible for leading a team of engineers in the design, development, and implementation of a broad spectrum centralized IT infrastructure, services, and processes for the USSOUTHCOM networks. This includes three enduring Joint Task Forces (JTFs) and multiple Security Cooperation Office(s) (SCO). Your team will provide support to continuously evolve and leverage the latest technologies and best practices to rapidly refresh capabilities and ensure platforms and intelligence operations are optimized to support the SOUTHCOM missions.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:
  • Leading the engineering teams across the full scope of the contract to seamlessly transition projects from engineering to operations
  • Providing recommendations to the life cycle management plan
  • Responsible for the engineering project integrated master schedule critical path and mitigating schedule risk
  • Responsible for providing recommendations to the customer for new/improved technology and driving cost savings
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a BS degree and 12+ years of experience in leading successful large scale engineering DoD programs with knowledge of USSOUTHCOM IT as well as strong presentation/teamwork/communication skills. You will also need to possess a fully adjudicated TS security clearance with SCI eligibility and certifications as required in DoD 8570 Baseline Information Assurance Technical (IAT)-II level.

Desired Qualifications

We are looking for candidates with six+ years of experience with major enterprise engineering efforts in a C4 enterprise environment, identifying automation challenges, and developing technical solutions. Additionally, experience with leading engineering teams in system design, development, installation, upgrades, and implementation of mission-critical hardware and software systems is highly desirable. A virtual desktop enterprise environment and cloud technologies experience is also a plus.

Target Salary Range

$135,000 - $216,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
