Job DescriptionThe Cardiac Device Specialist will provide technical, clinical, and related services in the area of electrophysiology and cardiology relative to cardiac implantable electronic devices (CIEDs) in the ambulatory and inpatient setting. Key responsibilities include:
- Setting up, operating, and troubleshooting various CIED programmers
- Deciphering complex cardiac device data elements
- Providing quality patient care for accurate CIED management, arrhythmia interpretation, and device utilization
- Interpreting CIED remote data and navigating remote sites
To be successful in this role, candidates must have:
- A certificate of completion from an approved cardiac device technical school or a minimum of 2 years' experience in cardiac pacing or electrophysiology
- Competence in rhythm interpretation and BLS certification
- PREFERRED: Graduation from a recognized institution of Cardiac Device Technology and/or Cardiac Electrophysiology
- PREFERRED: Completion of a Bachelor's Program in Nursing, Engineering, or a related field
